boot.bin example crashes on Old 3DS 6.2.0-12J SysNAND

I have an Old 3DS classic (non-LL) on SysNAND 6.2.0-12J, and the example program crashes. These are the steps I did:

1. Ran "make" in Windows with devkitARM.
2. Copied "ROPInstaller.nds" and "patches" to the NDS directory of my DStwo's microSD card.
3. Copied "ROPChains/6.x/BootStrap/boot.bin" and "ROPChains/6.x/BootStrap/MSetForBoss.dat" to the root directory of my Old 3DS's SD card.
4. Ran ROPInstaller.nds on the 3DS using the DStwo's DS_GAME menu, selecting 6.x when asked.
5. Pressed A to exit.
6. Pressed Home to return to Home Menu from power off screen.
7. Selected System Settings.
8. Selected Other Settings, Profile, then Nintendo DS Profile.

mset then froze few a seconds, followed by Home Menu reappearing with a message in Japanese that an error occurred and the system needs to restart.
