WordPress 6.8 Beta 2 has been released and we're calling all hosts to test this version on your infrastructure and report any issues back. Earlier this week we shared a slack message from #core-commiters which again mentions the importance of testing from this group.
Could we get a quick gut check who is currently running tests and maybe anyone wants to share their testing strategy for new releases?
The current target date for WordPress 6.8 is April 15, 2025 as mentioned in the 6.8 release cycle. The Beta 3 release of WordPress 6.8 will be available on Tuesday, March 18th.

Hosting Team Time!
Amy rasied a valid request to go back to having two weekly meetings (one at 09:00 UTC and one at 18:00 UTC). This will help us to be more agile, raise team engagement and help new contributors to get onboarded. If there are no objections we will go ahead and start with this next week on Wednesday March 19th.
Github & Slack Integration
This channel is now subscribed to the Github repos relevant to the hosting team. Huge Kudos to Amy for setting this up.
WordPress 6.8 Hosting Recommendation
We're about a month away from the WordPress 6.8 release (as mentioned earlier) and we should put some time asside to get our WordPress 6.8 post on make.wordpress.org/hosting. Feel free to join the work here:
