Some man pages also have links to the freedesktop.org pages, issue sections and lists.
Not to mention the READMEs.

Yes, I saw it when grepping through the repositories and yes it is bigger. I think this was best handled in an epic called "Rebranding to XLibre". But it is good to know which aspects resp. parts need to be changed to break it into smaller pieces. So please go on.

OK I think we can break it down to the following sections.

For each of these sections 2 things should be done:

• Rebranding: Changing the mentions of X.Org to XLibre (and similar cases).
• Relinking: There are a ton of freedesktop.org links that are scattered around the codebase they should point to here.

In both these cases I think its important to not to go too far, and keep things when they make sense.

So places where this should take place:

• READMEs: Same as below:
• Man pages: Repo links, bugreport links, X.Org metions and ...
• Build files: The bug report links in configure ones is the main case.
• Source code comments: Links to other source files and bug reports.
• CI files: Are the freedesktop.org gitlab CI files even needed anymore?
• MISC: A COPYING and a RELEASING files have mentions of the freedesktop.org/* pages and X.Org.
