Backports from XWayland

I saw that a change was backported from XWayland in a recent commit. I am pleased about that.
I believe that in recent years many good things have only been done there and not in xserver.

I give an example: if I use glmark2 on Wayland by running it under Xwayland, it gives better results than in Xorg or Xlibre! This is surely due to various optimisations made over the years.

It would be nice to identify these and backport them to Xlibre.

I'm working on DRI3 in modesetting. There is a MR on Xorg

But applying the patch the Xserver doesnt start. The MR author says he has a working version but on a PC that is not reachable now. Also, he says that it is not so important because DRI3 works anyway and the triver has already a DRI3 pageflip implementation.

What do you think @metux ?

I haven't a working one. More than anything else, I wanted to see if it was worth it or, as the author said, not important.
