Hosting X11Libre on the Error200 Tech IRC Network

I mentioned this in an issue which I linked below. But as there's already a matrix/telegram I'd like to offer up my IRC as a possible home for X11Libre. IRC has always been a traditional place for open source projects. So feel free to join and discuss below if this is something anyone wants. I know there are other larger IRC networks but I am not sure how well this project would fare on there.

i tried to join and it said host not found in konversation and kiwirc is there something i need to do in particular to join like SSL?

Yeah you have to have a client that supports SSL.

I don't see the appeal of a password-protected (essentially private) network over existing public networks out there. Granted, the project should probably be wary of sponsors and people involved with one or another network, but is there anything wrong with e.g. libera.chat (ex-freenode)?

The passwords public and really only there to stop random bots from joining the network. I could remove the password but it's not as though I keep the password a secret to begin with.

I'd argue the biggest problem with Libera is the same problem with Redhat. With the immense reaction from a fair amount in high level positions within the "open source" community. I'm wary of how well the project would fair on Libera or even OFTC. It might do fine might not. So I offered my IRC network as an alternative where I know XLibre won't be banned or removed over something utterly stupid.
