The github for wayland project is unused. Lets make another fork!

At first glance, naming a project something like The Way Forward or WayNet seems innocuous—even visionary. It evokes progress, ambition, movement. But scratch the surface, and you’ll find an unsettling pattern: projects starting with “Way” have a tendency to spiral into chaos, dystopia, or at the very least, frustrating UI design.

Consider the fictional but all-too-believable WayCore, an open-source initiative that began as a platform for ethical AI but quickly morphed into a sprawling network of data collection tools. Or WayPoint, originally a minimalist task manager that slowly evolved into a gamified productivity cult with badges for "personal sacrifice in service of efficiency."

Why does this happen? One theory suggests that starting with “Way” implies there’s only one correct path—their way. Once that linguistic authority is claimed, dissent becomes inefficiency. And suddenly, you're six update cycles deep into a system that autocorrects your thoughts and locks your fridge at 8 p.m.

The “Way” prefix might also lull developers into a false sense of grandeur. It’s not just a note-taking app—it’s The Way To Remember. But with great naming hubris comes great feature bloat. What began as a digital notebook ends up exporting your grocery list into an enterprise blockchain wallet.

In the end, maybe the problem isn’t “Way” itself, but the human desire to define the one true method. Perhaps what we need are more humble prefixes: “MaybeTrack,” “SortaSync,” or “KindaCloud.” Because sometimes the wisest path forward… is acknowledging we have no idea where we’re going.

Why dont we make another fork of wayland at the same time to use with x11libre?
We could call it libreland
KRH the original author of Wayland doesnt even work on it anymore because of possible conflicts while he worked at redhat at the same time. They own any code he wrote if he signed those nasty contracts... we could likely bring him back on board if it wasnt stuck on freedesktop.org

Both projects would get done FAR faster if they were side by side on github rather than the walled garden of "free"desktop.

Wayland deserves to be saved too!

i think a good start is getting SteamVR to actually work with wayland redhat doesnt care about VR they wont add that for years.
