Thank you for your contribution! We currently restructured the "Ideas" discussions and accordingly this discussion will be moved to the Good Ideas For Later category. As far as the matter itself is concerned, I think we still have to get a bit “older” and “gain weight” before we knock on the doors of other projects. Yes. Indeed. There is support for X11.
Yet, the Sway variant of SXMO is more refined than the dwm.
They are expected to add an i3 variant which be as refined as of Sway.
This depends on postmarketOS, yet it would be good to monitor the

I am thankful that X11 remains relevant.
However, in recent years, the project postmarketOS appears to have prioritized Sway (Wayland) over dwm (X11).
I am not yet aware of an attempt to try i3 with postmarketOS.
I suggest to coordinate with the postmarketOS team to adapt X11Libre for postmarketOS.
The major benefit would be to operate a tiling window manager (e.g. i3) as conveniently as with Sway, even with devices that are not yet "mainlined", that is of recent or close to recent Linux kernel.
P.S. I am not sure to what categorry this ticket belongs to, so I have chose Organizational task.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
