LedgerConsensus:WRN normal consensus, but stalled

I have deployed my own private Rippled network, and on all nodes, I see this log line: LedgerConsensus:WRN normal consensus, but stalled.
Is this expected behavior, or does something need to be fixed in the network configuration? Currently, rippled 2.4 version is used.

Hey! The warning LedgerConsensus:WRN normal consensus, but stalled usually means that nodes agree on the ledger, but no progress is being made (consensus is happening, but the ledger isn’t advancing)

A few things to check:

1. Make sure all nodes are properly peered and can reach each other.
2. Check system clocks are in sync (use NTP).
3. Ensure you have enough validators and that their keys are correctly set up.
4. Double-check your validators.txt and rippled.cfg.

It’s not always a critical issue, but if it’s stuck like that for a while, something in your setup likely needs tweaking.

Hey @kooroshkz,

1. All my nodes have enough peers (each one has 7). I see this information from crawl responses.
2. All nodes have the same [sntp_servers] stanza configured. They use default time.windows.com, time.apple.com, time.nist.gov, pool.ntp.org SMTP servers.
3. In my network I have 6 validators with quorum of 5.
4. Ledger is advancing on my private network as validated_ledger sequence increases.

Quick question, how many validators are you running in your network? Are the validators in their own UNLs?

I have 6 validators in total. I have generated and signed a UNL where i included all of them. Here is my validators.txt file:

Could you share additional information, what is the output of rippled ledger validated command? It'll tell the server to provide you the latest ledger it validated. If there is no error, could you run it multiple times on a few machines to see if the sequence number is going up?

The server seems to be validating ledgers and making forward progress. If the same thing is happening across all the instances, the network is up and running.

Regarding sntp_servers that configuration stanza was deprecated a while ago. It's safe to remove.
