Description:
The Pomodoro Technique emphasizes maintaining focus during each 25-minute session, avoiding distractions or mental wandering. Currently, the YAPA 2 app motivates users by displaying "quality time" for each day, which is great. However, I often reflect after a session to evaluate whether I was truly focused and productive.
I propose adding a feature where, at the end of each Pomodoro session, the app prompts the user with a simple question, such as:
"Did you stay focused during this Pomodoro session?"
The user could respond with options like "Yes," "Partially," or "No," maybe with an optional field to note what caused distractions (e.g., phone, thoughts, external interruptions).
Benefits:
Encourages self-reflection to improve focus over time.
Provides more accurate tracking of "quality time" by distinguishing between completed sessions and truly focused ones.
Could generate insights or stats (e.g., percentage of focused sessions per day/week).
Discussion:
What do you think about this idea? Would it align with the app’s goals, and are there other ways to implement self-assessment for focus quality?
