Would AMD DASH support be possible now for MeshCentral?

Hey Everyone,

I know that MeshCentral initially started as a project to support Intel vPRO and was supported monetarily by Intel in the past. However, it seems that Intel is no longer supporting this project and as such, the community is now starting to take it over.
Because of this, would it mean that development of AMD DASH support in MeshCentral could be something that could possibly be implemented?

For those that don't know, AMD DASH is the AMD version of what Intel vPRO does with out of band management. From what I understand, any device that has an AMD Pro processor along with a Realtek LOM NIC has support for AMD DASH. More information about AMD Dash can be found here https://www.amd.com/dash

I think it would be great if the MeshAgent could do the same type of provisioning that it does with Intel vPRO for AMD DASH systems and allow management of those systems from the MeshCentral system. This would truly make MeshCentral a powerful tool for out of band management for systems whether they were Intel or AMD.

IF a device was provided to us WITH this support (and i mean physically provided) then we could look into it,
but its not an overnight thing, it could take months to implemeant and then test

Sadly my AMD Dash device doesn't support kvm
Without a device with the kvm support its not going to happen anytime soon :(

Ah, mine does, and it's quite interesting, amd dash seems to be running an ssh server on port 22 (before any os loads, if an os loads, it goes kaput) and when I run "startkvm" with dash cli it then does ssh forwarding ("AMD Link") and connects via a "AMD" vnc client (see below, it just regular tight encoding seeming), and this seems to only work for the bios (due to advanced ssh solution), I wish there was some custom firmware for my device lol.

Exiting from the bios results in the app crashing.

It is quite unreliable though, that is why I plan to get a device with Intel AMT, since AMD Dash just sometimes not work, other times it freak out, also if you set a password longer than 15 characters with the dash cli, it does not like it, had to use DASHConfigRT to set to a shorter password (the realmanage shift+f10 option has max length of 15, so local management wouldn't possible, realtek dash tool also does, amd management console doesn't, but, I had to use v7 for it to be able to discover the pc)

AMC (AMD Management Console) also incorrectly reported that my pc does not support kvm, this may be what happened for you, I suggest you try again with the cli, like:
dashcli.exe -h 10.0.0.1 -S http -p 623 -u USERNAME -P PASSWORD enumerate kvmredirection - check it
dashcli.exe -h 10.0.0.1 -S http -p 623 -u USERNAME -P PASSWORD -t kvmredirection[0] startkvm - start it

also uh, "VncSharpExampleCS"... and copyright being "Public domain" is probably something they forgot to change too

the putty.exe.og is the original putty.exe, I had to put in an older version since the kvm wouldn't work otherwise, since putty denied the old ssh cipher method, older putty does not deny it

Web UI is quite.... little. at least it has power controls.

One could say a firmware upgrade might improve it, but, I cannot find firmware for AMD Dash anywhere.
