I’m analyzing a reaching task recorded at 100 fps and considering switching from DeepEthogram to A-SOiD because it seems easier and faster to use. However, I noticed A-SOiD’s minimum duration before a behavior transition is 0.05 seconds, which equals 5 frames at my frame rate. This limits temporal resolution to 50 ms increments, while DeepEthogram offers per-frame precision.
To achieve similar resolution with A-SOiD, I’d need to record at around 500 fps, which isn’t feasible. Is it possible to reduce A-SOiD’s minimum duration setting below 0.05 seconds to better capture fast behaviors?
