extract and embed features issue

when i get to the extract and embed feature stage, the icon indicates it is running but nothing appears to be happening. No code appears in the terminal. Python is activated in the task manager window and the CPU is engaged at about 4%.

Should the progress bar on the GUI start to be colored in?

Any thoughts??
