Changing chat from a video to an inline chat replay

Is it possible to make chat a replay of the text chat instead of a video? The chat renders are very system intensive (5700X3D, 64G Ram, 4070S 12GB) and is it only rendering on CPU, if so can hardware encode HVEC/NVENC or AV1 be added?

It does this by default, just uncheck Render Chat for the watched channels or when you go to archive something.

I don't believe so anymore, the text chat replay is pretty good now. Probably useful for streamers and their editors so they have a chatted up VOD ready.

Ganymede is first and foremost an archiving tool. The default chat render is meant to allow playback of the VOD without Ganymede for long term archival.
The only chat playback option in the frontend is now the "real time / text chat". The rendered chat video is only for archival purposes.
