First of all, thank you for your great work on this project — it’s been really helpful and well-crafted. I truly appreciate your efforts in building and maintaining it.

While reading through the logs, I noticed some outputs like t:* and t:!, and I’m a bit confused about what they mean. Could you kindly explain what these notations represent and in what context they are used?

Sure thing: they are 2 special tags used to support the Clear() feature, read here for more.

Is it possible to disable these in certain configuration scenarios? When when this library is used in conjunction with ephemeral function apps (Azure Functions, etc.), these tagging features generate a number of cache misses. We don't want to not use FusionCache to pull values from the same L2 cache, but for ephemeral apps, we don't need the extra features like backplane or tag removal, since the instance is only up for a short period.

We've disabled backplane in this scenario, but can't find a way to disable the custom tag clear hits/misses.

Sure thing: you can set DisableTagging to true in the cache options, and totally avoid that.

Keep in mind though that if you then do a RemoveByTag on another node you will not see the results applied there (meaning, entries will not be removed locally, by tag) and if you instead use a feature that needs tagging (like Clear) it will throw an exception.
