Description
I had a dream today where I already used a mapping tool where I converted X.XX by X.XX Voxels (arbitrarily scaling amount of voxel tile size grid) into an automatically scaling .png image to start world building in a future version of VoxelGame. I remember in the dream the C# / GDscript was not an issue with the voxel data output and the C# client was a nice feature but a hybrid C# / GDscript worked anyway.
Are these details true? Is the world data omnivorous as to what code reads it for a client? @Zylann Or anyone else who knows how map data is started in BlockyGame to save the data of the world? I'll have to check my old world data saves to see how it looks on first iterations of this idea from a dream.
Also do we have a map editor like Omen editor or MCedit for VoxelGame to convert arbitrary image sizes files into arbitrary world voxel size 'map art' / world data? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_n2_2xXzy4&t=344s&ab_channel=TheMisterEpic + https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/terra-1-to-1-minecraft-world-project + https://www.mcedit.net/
Do we have the dev tools that can make big projects like earth 1 to 1 scale possible or if not how close are we and what is the process to manually convert an image file data into even a flat world data 'image' / map art / image copy by in VoxelGame to start for big scale game work?
Also are there other block art pallets / block sets already made by the creative community for BlockyGame or will I probably have to add in new ones to fill out the palette / block set to get all the colours of the rainbow / make sure there is at least 16 to 32 to 64 to 128 to 256 to 512 to 1,028+ colour depth to BlockyGame / voxel game?
So as to properly open the doors / let loose the flood gates for the creative community to be able to make Minecraft / BlockyGame style map art but this time MIT with VoxelGame forever free. How can this be done to take VoxelGame to the next level / critical mass / order of magnitude of awesome?
I suppose the map art / world edit tools don't really need to be in one language but it world help if they can read and write and edit world data for VoxelGame. If these tools are not close to being made where could I ask to help make them? Minecraft modding community or MCedit people for a VoxelGame version? All feedback is welcome and please feel free to share and ask questions. Best of luck and if I find more details I'll share them at as time progresses. I also had a dream earlier this year where the creative community was having a blast with a sort of world editor tool in VoxelGame and it was really uplifting and gave myself lots of inspiration to start this journey.
