We at JetBrains would like to propose contributing to the Kotlin SDK for the A2A protocol. Our team has been actively working on adding A2A support in Kotlin as part of our ongoing efforts on Koog, an agentic framework for Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform. The A2A protocol support we are developing is intended to enable Koog agents to interface with other A2A agent servers seamlessly, as well as to expose Koog itself as an A2A server for broader interoperability.
Rather than fragmenting the ecosystem by independently building and maintaining these capabilities, we’d prefer to collaborate by contributing our work to the official Kotlin SDK in the A2A repository. This ensures a well-supported, unified solution for the community.
We have prior experience contributing to projects like the MCP Kotlin SDK and are looking forward to applying the same approach and rigor here. Some work is already in progress on our end, and we plan to make it available soon.
