Summary of Changes

Hello @holtskinner, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a significant improvement to the continuous integration workflow by modifying Dependabot's update strategy. Instead of generating separate pull requests for each individual dependency update, Dependabot will now consolidate multiple updates into a single, grouped pull request. This aims to streamline the dependency management process, reduce PR clutter, and simplify the review and merge process for routine updates.

Highlights

  • Dependabot Configuration: Configured Dependabot to group dependency updates into single pull requests for both the pip (implied by uv-dependencies) and GitHub Actions ecosystems. This change consolidates multiple updates, reducing the number of individual PRs.

Code Review

This pull request updates the Dependabot configuration to group dependency updates into single pull requests for both Python packages (managed by uv) and GitHub Actions. This is a great change to reduce the number of pull requests from Dependabot and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The implementation is correct and follows best practices. I have one minor suggestion to improve the consistency of the group naming.

For consistency with the uv-dependencies group name, consider renaming this group to github-actions-dependencies. This makes it clearer that this group is for dependencies and improves readability.
