Describe the solution you'd like
It would be good to have tests written for all the samples, and to enforce tests for new samples, so that we can be sure they always work.
This would cut down on manual verification work needed when doing new releases of the various components.
IMO, it would be better to do this sooner rather than later, while the number of samples is relatively low.
Also, it seems this is where the extensions will go, and those also should be tested.
