"Change whitelist accordingly when muting/unmuting a website" doesn't work for me

Thanks for this terrifically useful add-on. Been using it for years.

Somehow I only just noticed the "Change whitelist accordingly when muting/unmuting a website" feature in the options. This would fix the one point of friction I encounter with Mute Sites by Default.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, never adding any newly unmuted sites to the whitelist.

Does the feature perhaps work, and I have an add-on conflict? I use Tab Center Reborn for vertical tabs, and use the right-click menu spawned by those tabs to mute/unmute websites. I wonder if Mute Sites by Default isn't "getting the message" because it's not able to communicate with Tab Center Reborn? Just a shot in the dark.

I am noticing a recent deal where whitelisted / allowe listed sights are not being allowed.. could there be a bug from a latest update?

That's probably the reason. Mute sites by default only reacts to mute events originating from the user (not extensions) in order to not invoke itself every time it mutes/unmutes a tab.

This should be fixable by checking which specific extension is responsible for the mute event. In the meantime, maybe using Ctrl+M for muting/unmuting tabs instead of your addon's builtin feature might be a viable workaround.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ctrl-M does indeed add and remove sites from the whitelist.

It seems likely the problem is that I am using an add-on that generates its own tab representations and they behave differently from Firefox's "real" (and hidden in my case) tabs in some ways.
