Description

Currently, Lingo Lens allows users to select only one language for translation at a time. It would greatly enhance the learning experience if the app could support simultaneous translations for multiple languages, enabling users to compare and learn different languages side by side.

Proposed Changes

• Add an option in the language selection menu where users can select multiple languages.
• When a user anchors a label, display translations for all selected languages.
• Allow users to toggle between languages for pronunciation playback.

Benefits

• Enhances the app's utility for polyglots or users interested in learning multiple languages.
• Provides a comparative learning approach that could aid in understanding linguistic similarities and differences.

Love the idea! But I think it'll be more intuitive to show an option stating, "Do you wanna translate it into another language?" on the Translation Detail view on "Translate" tab (that's shown when we tap on a label). And provide a sheet to the user with the list of languages. And just append the new translation to the Detail View.

But I feel the critical issue isn't that. The critical issue lies when the app works with the iOS devices without a LiDAR sensor (The non-pro iPhones/iPads). It takes several retries for such devices.

I'm planning to either fix it somehow. But if there's a hardware constraint causing dead-end. Then we can just ask the user to be at X-distance away from the object, and then just anchor the label at X-distance from the user's device. I think that'll be the only work around.

Would you like working on this issue? If yes, I'd love to collaborate.

I'm about to finish my degree. Therefore not getting time to work on it.
