ctrl+space does not work in konsole terminal (but works in crosh terminal)

launch konsole (or another terminal?).  run `nano`.  type a few words:
 abc def ghi

then hit ctrl+space.  this should advance one word at a time.  this works in 
crosh, but not when run through konsole.
```
