VDH doesn't see Youtube video when using ExpressVPN

I use VDH to occasionally download a Youtube video using Firefox. With ExpressVPN enabled, VDH never sees the video. I'm in NC using an Atlanta server. I'm using the latest versions of Firefox, VDH & the companion app. I can turn the VPN off when I want to download a video but I'm curious why this is happening and if there is a work-around. I tried turning the VPN back on in the middle of a download and it immediately failed with exit code 1. Thanks.

I switched from the ExpressVPN Atlanta server to Washington D.C. and now VDH works. So I fixed it but does anyone know why this worked? I had no problem watching the Youtube videos when using the Atlanta server; VDH just wouldn't see the them.
