Conversion Upscale? #1621

I do not work for VDH. I'm just another user. VDH versions before 9 used to have conversion tools for changing resolution & whatnot. But those functions were purposely left out of VDH 9. There's a discussion on here somewhere where that is discussed. You could hunt it down if you were so inclined. You could switch the VDH 9 user interface to the legacy interface. The functions would be there. But they don't work. The user interface still exists but the program logic behind the user interface is simply missing. However, if your input is such a low resolution, upscaling it to 1080p isn't going to improve it. If anything, it's just going to magnify the lack of crispness in the image while making the file bigger. You'll just be making the shortcomings easier to see. In other words, it's less bang for the buck. You're better off just letting VLC play the thing full screen. It will look bigger without you going to the trouble of actually making it bigger. But if you're determined to waste your time with such an exercise, ffmpeg can do the job. Do some web searches to educate yourself on how this can be done. Or, while you're searching the web, look for other tools that are perhaps more user friendly that can do the job. I believe there's lots of them out there. You could even drop back to VDH 8 or VDH 7. There's discussions of how to do that here in this GitHub forum if you are inclined to hunt for them. |

Your question
Hi,
I am trying to download a Twitch clip. The original resolution is 936p, and I'd like to upscale it to 1080p. Is this possible with the Video Download Helper conversion settings? Where would I find documentation for how to set this up?
