VDH 9.1.2.0 for Firefox is now in general availability . . . BUT . . . #1641

Never mind. Here's how to get around the brain-dead removal that Mozilla seems to want to impose. When you click that menu entry, Firefox gives you a file selection dialog. You can then download the .xpi file to your HDD space wherever you'd like. It's a small file, not quite 1.4M. Once you have the file safely in a directory somewhere, just execute it. This launches the standard Firefox process for installing an add-on. No removal is necessary. I am now running this:
I did not have to remove my existing beta VDH. All my settings (& history) are preserved as is my license registration. This seamlessly did an install over my existing version, replacing my existing VDH. I do not know why Mozilla is so stupid about this. But here is how to thwart their stupidity. |

Your question
It appears that the new VDH for Firefox that @jcfrog Jérôme has hinted at a couple of times has finally landed:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
However . . .
No I am NOT going to first remove VDH beta before I install this release. Please do either of these 2 things:
. Publish the direct URL of the .xpi for this version
. Post this release in the beta channel
I don't care which way you do it. But I am categorically NOT going to uninstall my present VDH before I install this new version. Michel used to always simultaneously post the general availability version in the beta channel for precisely the reason I am showing in the above image. Please continue this long-standing tradition.
Addon & CoApp version and details
Not that it's particularly relevant but my current setup is Windows 11 Pro 64-bit version 24H2 build 26100.2894, Firefox 134.0.1 64-bit, licensed VDH 9.1.0.41 beta, CoApp 2.0.20.
