Why Are Some of My Downloads Lower Quality? Is It a Hosting Issue or on Our End?

I've been downloading some educational content—some of it looks good, but some is in really low quality, like 240p.

When I try to download it at a lower resolution (like 720p instead of 1080p), the video quality looks fine, but there's no audio.

I'm honestly so confused right now 😩

There has been reports of this issue in other discussions, I believe it's not interpreting the stream information correctly.
The 240p version may have audio, while the other resolutions are missing audio like you say. What they have is another video track.
You could fix this with a video editor, strip out the second video track and add the audio from the 240p file.
Or try to download it another way that has the higher quality video with audio.
