"Privacy Policy - No tricks, you stay anonymous" dialog keeps popping up

Since 1-2 months ago I regularly get presented with the "Privacy Policy - No tricks, you stay anonymous" dialog, though I have already accepted (many times). This doesn't happen every time I start Firefox, but every week or so. I'm guessing it happens when VDH auto-updates. This is not a case of it losing all settings (as I've had happen with some other extensions sometimes) - it still remember the download directory I set, for example, and the download history.
