Hi im currently struggling with trying to download video companion app is installed fine and works mostly on some sites but in past couple days ive been getting Download failed sadly we failed at downloading this video error

I'm getting exactly the same error on Facebook. Noticed it a couple of other times but can't remember what pages now. Generally it has been working fine still though.

I am facing the same error

This morning, 20 May 2025, I downloaded three YT videos without issue, and then tried to download several more, but all failed. I can download those videos using Winxvideo AI but I prefer using Video DownloadHelper. This issue has occurred a few times over the past month and seems to resolve within a few hours after I make a comment on the support site.

I am also encountering this issue on Youtube. Some days I can download everything, other days can't seem to download anything, regardless of length or quality (including shorts). I also tried in a private window but still fails to download.
