Youtube live links - what to do if you want to download.

There have been numerous instances of users posting youtube links in the format of httpx://www.youtube.com/live/videoid
( s is substituted to x for the purpose of the discussion )

Some may think it is a bug because there is no detection in the extension. But there is a simple solution to solve this if you get such a link. The link should be changed from live/ to watch?v=. Once you do that there will be detection.

httpx://www.youtube.com/watch?v=videoid

Another option is right click on the video and click copy video url. Paste in a new tab, the shortened link will change to
httpx://www.youtube.com/watch?v=videoid

This "operational error" is for anything and everything on YT.

The "copy URL" method worked for me, the other one I cant figure out, and I appreciate the work around. Thank you for passing this on.

Hopefully, this hassle will be resolved soon now that it has been ongoing for a couple months now.

....Update......

It only worked for a couple of times.......bummer.....what's going on with YT?

same with me managed to download 4 videos and it died again.

Yeah...this add-on has turned out to be a dud. I've given up on it. So many problems...
Either it won't even recognize YT videos (randomly). Or, it won't download YT videos (randomly). Or, it won't download specific formats (randomly). At times it is so slow that one has to abort the download, and then on re-trying, it just won't recognize/download the same video! Go figure...! Or, it'll download the video in some dubbed language (the auto-selection option seems to be wonky, as, even if the auto-selected language on the orig. YT video is English, it still will download in some weird language -- so far, I've counted Dutch, German, Malay/Thai, and a few others...again, pretty random...)
I say randomly b'coz sometimes it does, and other times it doesn't. I haven't been able to discern any specific/constant pattern...and I've tried a lot!
Similar issues occur with the beta version...
Waste of time trying to use it...
I've now switched to the various free websites that allow YT video downloads -- sure, the video resolution isn't usually high, but at least you can download many-to-most videos (except age-restricted/private ones -- which even this app won't download, so...........)
