You might have chosen the wrong one, there is arm version for apple. See https://github.com/aclap-dev/vdhcoapp/releases |

https://www.downloadhelper.net/install-coapp-v2 do show Intel and ARM (apple silicon) versions, some how I didn't get to that specific page |

I noticed the FireFox Videohelper app installs a Intel binary, and since especially Intel's support is numbered, could we get a Apple Silicon compiled ffmpeg?
