It works, while the speed is slow there is no failure. There is also a download button on the player.

I do not work for VDH. I am just another user. Also, please read #2214.

I confirm what @Mattmjs said. I'm using Windows 11 Pro 64-bit version 24H2 build 26100.4484, Firefox 140.0.2 64-bit, licensed VDH 9.5.0.2, CoApp 2.0.20. While the smashyplayer site mercilessly throttles the download to a putrid slow speed, VDH does successfully download your Idiocracy video without incident.

I can only speculate that for some reason, that content is geoblocked for you. Perhaps a VPN would help you. But your information says you are using en-US. I assume that means you are in the States. So am I. In which case, I'm completely baffled. Matt is in Australia, so the geoblocking issue is unlikely. Possible but unlikely. Another possibility is that you have some sort of ad blocker that is interfering. Again, unlikely. I've got uBlock Origin in place & it's not interfering for me.

One last thought is antivirus/firewall. There have been mysterious reports in here -- although none recently -- that an antivirus (which may or may not include a firewall) can interfere with the proper operation of VDH. You need to make sure that your antivirus makes an exception for each of the .exe files in your CoApp directory. The CoApp directory is shown in the VDH settings:

Your CoApp directory could be different from mine. Use whatever your VDH settings show you.

Your firewall, if it's separate from your antivirus, also needs to make exceptions for the executables in that directory. I am running the antivirus built into Windows 11 & I have never had to make any special arrangements with it to get VDH to work. But other people have other antivirus products & they have had to do some tweaking.
