What does the CoApp do that you can't do it in the browser?
On windows you always downloaded what you wanted, but on linux they recommend only downloading from the distribution's shop, as there are no antiviruses etc :).
I know that browser add-ons can also ask for almost anything on the comp, because nowadays it's mainly the comp to the browser because a lot of online is done.
That's why it surprises me that some additional application is needed.
I know you are not the only option to download video from the internet there are equivalents and even some in the shops of various linux.
I know the code is open source but so what if I don't understand it, but I know how to use it :).

Thanks to. When I searched I couldn't find it.

It's in node.js running because it's all in javascript there I think.
