I do not work for VDH. I am just another user. Also, please read #2214.

It so happens that the example YouTube video mentioned in the original post here has multiple language dubs. I used this as an example to explain what's going on in #2125. By the way, VDH has no problem downloading this video. But Matt is right to direct you to #2190. That could explain some of the problems you are having. Read the entirety of #2190, not just the one comment Matt mentions.

I tried wiping all cookies from youtube.com and had the same problem unlogged in and then logged in. It's possible the "naughtiness" cookies come from google.com or some other cross-site cookie.

I have been seeing weird behavior from YouTube for about a month now. For instance, clicking on a "next video" tile (from the nine selections) in full screen mode either yields an ad, or this error, with Ghostery.

Mashing F5 on the error screen gets you to the next video. Inexplicably, getting out of full screen first and then pressing a video tile gets you to the next video.

I don't how they're sneaking ads past my script blocker, nor am I skilled enough to figure it out.

They have found something clever about serving ads, and I suspect it's also what's thwarting VDH.

When I tried to download the video that just triggered that: NO PROBLEMO. It may be watching to see if you trigger that code before allowing downloads.
