I do not work for VDH. I am just another user. Also, please read #2214.

My setup is Windows 11 Pro 64-bit version 24H2 build 26100.4652, Firefox 140.0.4 64-bit, licensed VDH 9.5.0.2, CoApp 2.0.20.

When I visited that web page, I got this:

VDH listed a 2160p MKV so that's the one I got. I have to say this is contrary to what folks have been reporting in the last couple of weeks. I can only surmise that we're looking at yet another frivolous change on YouTube.

I decided to look into the VDH Hit Details. That gave me the URL for an HLS master manifest. I ran it through ffprobe & got this:

You can see 17 Programs listed there, numbered 0-16. In every single one, the German audio track is listed first. There are 2 German audio tracks, Stream #0:0 & Stream #0:10. One or the other is the first one listed in every Program. It seems this is why VDH downloads this one in German. I was under the impression this was fixed. Apparently, YouTube strikes again.

Sad but true, it seems #1707 is still your only recourse. (Be sure you click the Show x previous replies button. GitHub has oh so brilliantly chosen to hide the important posts.) The "solution" put out in the latest general availability VDH for Firefox, which is newer than the latest beta, is not working. I always said it was something that would work sometimes & not other times. But at least it would work sometimes. Maybe the assumption VDH makes about what YouTube provides is no longer valid. It's certainly not valid in the case of this particular video. I always cautioned that it would be possible that you'd have to go to #1707 anyway, even with the latest VDH. We've got a case here where that is true.
