Maybe the files aren't right, do they have video and audio ? |

They are .mp4 files. Usually those contain both. How would I check? Are there codec settings in the extension I can tweak? And is there any way to get just ONE option to download? I'm baffled by the panoply of choices, all which seem identical. (I'm trying to save someone's Facebook story, by the way, if that is any help.) |

Your question
I find anytime I download something with Videodownloadhelper it just opens without playing and flashes, again and again, as if the application (VLC) has crashed. I don't know if it's that I'm downloading incorrect video files, if it's a setting in the extension I need to use, or if something else is wrong. I also find that sometimes there are 10 or more options of files to download, which should I be using? It's very confusing for a first time user.
