Trying to download a 1440p football game from fullreplays.com which is about 2 hours long. My download speed is very low. Even downloading from youtube is slow.

My setup is Windows 11 Pro 64-bit version 24H2 build 26100.4652, Firefox 141.0 64-bit, licensed VDH 9.5.0.2, CoApp 2.0.20. My Internet connection is rated at 62.5 million bytes per second. That's what my ISP tells me I'm paying for.

I randomly picked https://www.fullreplays.com/fifa/club-world-cup/chelsea-vs-psg-13-jul-2025/. I hit a couple of games that had been deleted from the site. This one, although not particularly recent, was at least there. Here's what I experienced.

There's a lot of variables in download speed. Understand now, these are guesses. It's hard to say if any of these might actually be factors in your case.

Your speed could be affected by activity of other subscribers in your community to the same ISP.
There could be temporary traffic congestion on the Internet.
You might have a faulty network adapter. Unlikely but possible.
The server might have been experiencing heavy traffic at that particular moment.

I suppose there's other possibilities that just aren't coming to mind at the moment. In any case, my experience shows it can't possibly be VDH. I got great speed. You're pretty much on your own figuring out what the deal is for you.

By the way, for a site that claims to give full game replays, this one was only the first half of the match. I didn't look for the second half. I would assume it's somewhere on the site.

I'm not sure how #2214 is related in any way?

I tried YouTube downloading 4k and only got 253kB/s again. Tried a 1080p video and got about 4Mb/s. 24 hours apart.
Tried the Chelsea game you linked and still got 283kB/s.

Network adapter is fine. Tried on separate occasions. Tried a VPN.

Any specific videos or sites I could try?

I can't explain it. We've both tried the soccer site & we don't get the same speed. My experience with YouTube is that it's all over the map. Sometimes I get only a few hundred thousand bytes per second, sometimes I get a few million. Sometimes on YouTube it will start at a couple of million & gradually increase throughout the download. I've seen it zoom past 20 million, even 30 million. There's no predicting YouTube. All I can think is that for some reason, your ISP is simply not allowing anything faster off that soccer site. Either that or that site is throttling its service. Maybe it's about the time of day. I'm getting this on your ManU-Bournemouth game.

Note, there's a time stamp in the bottom right corner of that. That's daylight savings time in the eastern US time zone. It actually got up over 46M by the time it finished. And that was a 4K variant. A WEBM file of 8.68G that took 3:20 to download. I'm a bit surprised it wasn't MKV but that's what VDH gave me. Looks like the whole game this time. I didn't sit & watch it, just skimmed it, & it appears to be the whole game.

I don't know what to tell you. VDH does not have any speed limits. Everything is entirely dependent on your ISP & the servers. VDH just takes whatever the connection gives. There's one site I use pretty much every day that gives me my full quota of 62.5 million bytes per second plus sometimes even a small cushion above that, up to 70 million, sometimes even more, at least for a few seconds. But even that is not consistent. That site sometimes throttles me down below 20 million. I don't know why it varies that much. It just does. It's still better than the putrid old DSL connection I used to have that never got above 550,000 bytes per second. And let's not even remember 28.8K dial-up modems. So I don't know what's happening to you. All I can say is try at different times of day & night. See if there's any variation due to time of day.
