Can't download YouTube video

Before purchasing a license I was able to download a video from YouTube. It had a QR code, so I decided to purchase a license. Now the same video will not download. Any suggestions?

damn... I've been having issues downloading from youtube myself, and it worked smoothly for me for a few weeks, until it didn't anymore. not all videos though, some youtube videos will still download, but most won't... but I had no trouble downloading yours...

could you check if this one works for you? On my install it just says that it couldn't download it...

Just quit downloading today with me. At this point I would recommend finding other options and not looking back.. I am thinking that Download helper has dropped the ball on their coding.Too bad, it WAS working great. Waste of $$ for premium. Should have known better.

To this day, YouTube downloads still aren't working (at least for videos from a year ago). I've purchased both licenses, one for Chrome and one for Firefox (€40), and neither one works. Chrome seems to be being more strict than Firefox.

I just tried doing it from a Firefox private window and it let me download three videos, but it didn’t let me download the fourth one, it gave me an error. It’s like I have a Freemium version of the program.

VDH for Chrome does not work on YouTube. Never has. Never will. There is a notice to that effect on the VDH page at the Chrome web store. Go look. Read it carefully.

As for working intermittently, there are a few other threads in this forum in which we discuss how YouTube blocks IP addresses that download "too much." Too much is ill-defined, & how long the block lasts is also ill-defined. But the IP blocking is something YouTube is doing. Not Firefox, not VDH, YouTube. You need to pay some attention to discussions other than your own in this forum.
