YouTube Downloading Errors #2391
-
Your questionI had been able to download videos from YouTube for months now with no problems, until this morning, when it stopped working. I'm located in New York City, using Video DownloadHelper Beta version 9.5.0.0 with Firefox 141.0.3 (aarch64) on a Mac Studio. I've tried quitting and restarting both the app and my computer several times, all to no avail. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. I do not work for VDH. I am just another user. Also, please read #2214. Version 9.5.0.0 is for the latest VDH for Firefox beta. Historically, the beta is newer than the general availability version available from the Mozilla add-ons repository. This is not true at the moment. It will probably be true once again at some future date. But today, it is not true. Everybody should be running the general availability version of VDH, which is 9.5.0.2. Try that & see if it helps. You don't need to do anything special. Just install the general availability version & it will replace the beta seamlessly. Also, you should read this to make sure you don't fall into any stupid traps: #1641. |

Of course doing a Remove is a bad idea. That's what I explain in that other discussion #1641. You need to go read that.
