Clicking stop doesn't stop downloading the stream, instead continues downloading

I was trying to download a RawHLS stream off a site, but when I hit "Stop", it does not stop the downloading process, and erases the downloaded content and restarts the process. The content that I tried to download is about 15 minutes long, and I could not be able to recreate this again.
