Verified issue does not already exist?

What happened?

This bug popped up on the last two releases for me, prior to that category selection worked fine. I'm self hosting v25.12.0 client and server at the time of this bug creation. The issue is present when Desktop site is checked or unchecked.

The category can't be selected unless the search result has only one item, otherwise only the first item in the array is selected.

How can we reproduce the issue?

1. Search for a category to limit result set.
2. Select a category that is not the first result.
3. Category regardless of selection defaults to first item in the array.

Bonus Issue: Category can only be selected by long press and will not resolve to anything unless a search term is provided.
