RFE: asyncio support

Folks:

I’m in the process of setting up animated LED lighting for the family's Lego winter village using a Feather ESP32-S2 and asyncio tasks and, naturally, I’d like the LED lights to also show up in Home Assistant as first-class, individually-controllable devices. This is working great using MiniMQTT, except for the fact that the animation stops during calls to MQTT.loop(). Any plans to provide an async version of the latter?

Won’t somebody please think of the Legos?

Afternoon, Tim.
I have, in fact, thought of the Legos!
I have a somewhat similar, likely less sophisticated system, Brickmaster, that uses the MiniMQTT library for HA integration.
It's fundamentally a GPIO-control-over-MQTT system with some support for additional things like pins on external IO boards (ie: AW9523s), HA discovery and the like.
I won't claim my code is great, but might be worth a look!
