Question | Single Wire Can (LS-CAN) Transciever

Hi,

First of all, Thank You for all your great work with the reverse engineering!

When using your project as a guid for mine, i saw that you use a differential CAN transceiver for the LS-CAN. But if i do some basic research all the sources point that this should not work, and that i need to use a "Fault Tollerant" NXP transciever like the TJA1055T.

Can you elaborate why you have chosen the SN65HVD230D, and why is works or do you in a previous video?

Hi Mees,
Thanks for the kind words.
I used the SN65HVD for the LS-CAN, because (1) it worked just fine for me, and (2) I already needed to use it for MS and HS CANs, and (3) it's pretty small which was important for my design.
But, if the recommendation is to use a special transceiver like that, I can only suggest that also.
