Blog layout guidance & stop displaying any posts on Home page

Hi,

I am completely new to Hugo and trying to migrate my website from WordPress to Hugo. It basically consists of 3 WordPress blogs. First one has only a few pages which make the Home of the website. It has a Home page, an about page and a contact me page. Then there are 2 blogs. Let's call them blog1 (contains technical posts) and blog2 (contains non technical posts).

PaperMod looked good to me and I selected this theme. Now while migrating I want to keep it the same way. There is a Home page and then links to blog1 and blog2. I am looking for some guidance on two things:

1. The way I am thinking is fine or there can be a better way to host it in Hugo ?
2. If I want to go the way I described it, how can I stop showing any posts on the Home page. Clicking on blog1 should display the posts from blog1 and same way for blog2.
