Issue with image in footer

Hi,
I've modified the footer to include this element:
<a href="example.org"><img src="./image.svg" /></a>
and I put the corresponding file in projectroot/static. On the home page the image is displayed correctly, but not on any of the other pages. I'm assuming it has to do with the file path but I'm not sure.
Is there a way to fix this?
