How to enable the translated elements?

Description

I have a blog totally focused on portuguese speakers (therefore, it's not a multilingual website): https://meleu.sh/

I noticed that PaperMod has a translated version of some elements: https://github.com/adityatelange/hugo-PaperMod/blob/master/i18n/pt.yaml

I thought it would be enough to put this in my config.yml:

languageCode: pt

But, I'm still seeing the English terms on the pages:

Where should I change the configuration to have the portuguese version of those elements?

The trick is to add this to the config.yml:

defaultContentLanguage: pt
