Body shadowing #4
Description
The effect of body shadowing can be considerable: a real distance of 1m can appear as 10m if a body appears in between. This would typically occur if someone wore his/her phone in the pocket. The app's impact on the person would then be to generate many false positives and potentially false negatives (to notification), and there would be a similar impact to others (which would only materialize if that person was infected).
- Are you asking infected people who are about to upload their TEKs how they usually carry their phones?
- Is this the first question asked to people who call the hotline?
- What is the importance of body shadowing in the data that informed the Exposure Score calculation setup? (see Open data #3)
- Have you done any study of habits on how the phones are carried align with gender and/or age?
