RAC: Select + AnimatePresence (motion/react)

Provide a general summary of the issue here

When using AnimatePresence from "motion/react", the Popover component can be animated. However, this only works with DialogTrigger, not when composed within Select.

🤔 Expected Behavior?

I would expect the popover to be displayed regardless of trigger.

😯 Current Behavior

The popover does re-render but overlay trigger state's isOpen property is false.

💁 Possible Solution

I've looked through Select and useSelectState but can't see anything obvious 🤷‍♂️
