Validation error "The field must be an array." on assets field

Hi,

when using an asset field in a form I constantly get the validation error "The field must be an array".

I am using a fresh installment of Statamic Pro 5.38.0 without other large addons and have just installed the livewire forms addon.
Changing anything on the asset field (mime type validation, min or max amount of files etc.) doesn't change anything. There is no difference in the behavior whether one or multiple files are uploaded.

There is also an Alpine error in the console regarding the filepond that might me related.

There even is a php exception now:

Thanks for reporting. I was able to reproduce the issue. It looks like a later Statamic version broke asset fields. Can you try if PR #76 fixes this for you?
