Gesture/interaction to mute the strings

Not sure how best to do this, but it would be a good feature to allow the player to mute strings that are already ringing. A variety of songs and musical styles call for this.

My brother suggested to have a zone after the end of the strings (opposite from the chord side) where you could move your hand to perform a mute. I might add a specific hand pose (like laying your palm flat on the string plane) to avoid accidental mutes.
