Looks like commits have slowed down. If you are looking for a working alternative: I have been running a simpler file-based memory system in production for a few months — no vector DB, no embeddings, just a local Llama 3.2 1B model routing session logs to markdown files via a shell pipeline.

Setup: launchd daemon runs every 10min, captures session logs, Llama categorizes to JSON, filer writes to project-specific markdown with a 500-line cap. Survives restarts, costs $0/month, human-readable state at all times.
