Theming verything "around" the editor

Hi there,

Since you’ve been working on Eclipse theming, I was wondering if you’ve also explored how to apply theming consistently beyond just the text editor.

It would be great if Eclipse could provide a more unified look across all UI elements. On Linux, for example, some components can be influenced by the GTK theme. Personally, I use the “Darcula” theme from this plugin together with a matching “Darcula” GTK theme to get closer to a unified appearance.

From my experiments, Eclipse theming currently feels a bit fragmented. Maybe we could collect information, best practices, or even develop approaches to extend theming support to more UI elements.

Thanks so much for this thoughtful issue. You're 100% right, a single plugin for a unified look would be the ideal goal.

To be completely honest, I have no idea how to approach theming the rest of the UI, as my experience so far has only been with the editor-specific parts.

So, your suggestion to collect information and best practices is the perfect way forward. Let's use this issue as the central place to track any ideas or potential starting points we find.
